There are a few SPMU services/brow styles that I offer:

Microblading involves implanting micro-fine amounts of pigment with a tiny row of pins, so small that it resembles a blade. These pins replicate natural hair strokes, and shading can also be added.

There is also cosmetic tattooing using the digital machine method. With this method, I can create a powder ombré effect. The ombré method is better suited for oily skin, as the hair strokes may not last as long and can lose definition over time.

Ombré brows heal nicely and appear soft, as if you have filled your brows in with powder makeup. The effect can be more sheer or more filled in, depending on your preference.

Please note that powder brows only appear more intense on the day of treatment and during the 10-14 day healing period.

There is also a combination brow, which is a mix of the two methods. This involves creating super soft microbladed hair strokes at the bulb of the brow, leading into a more defined brow tail using the machine. This is a very popular method.

The skin heals over the treated area, and the pigment particles break down over an average time of around 2-4 years, depending on the method you've chosen, your skin type, and your lifestyle.

It's recommended that you have a top up around 12-18 months.

Your first and second treatments are around 4-6 weeks apart; the second treatment is to review and perfect them.

If you're planning on having them completed in time for a wedding/special occasion/holiday, you need to have the first session 8-10 weeks before that date to have had both treatments heal in time.

Please note that your treatment must be '4 weeks before' and '2 weeks after' a sun holiday for full healing and recovery time for sun-damaged skin. If you are an annual top-up, then you need to have had them done 6 weeks before your desired date.

The first appointment takes around 2 2½ hours; the first part will consist of a consultation of around 45 - 60 minutes, then about 1 ½ hours of tattooing / microblading takes place.

During the consultation, I will fully explain the treatment and aftercare, then I'll give you my recommendations depending on your desired results, your skin tone, type, and hair colour. We then do the stencil for your perfect brows and begin treatment once you're 100% happy to start.

  • The healing process is around 4 - 8 weeks, depending on your skin age and type.

  • The brows will look darker for the first week.

  • After this, the healed skin will flake away, leaving a much lighter colour that can take a few weeks to develop as the skin is still healing underneath.

  • For the 1st week to 2 weeks you must keep them dry and free from moisture, including sweat, makeup, creams, shower / bath water.

  • You can use vaseline or coconut oil to keep the treatment area hydrated, apply a thin layer with a clean finger or cotton bud - please use a new pot to avoid infection.

  • Use pre boiled, cooled down water on a dampened disposable cottan pad to remove any bacteria on the surface of the treatment area a few times a day for the 1st few days - you need to do this from an hour or so after your treatment.

  • You have a top-up included in the price of £360, which takes place around 6 weeks later to fill in any areas that may not have taken during the healing process or to go darker or even tweak the shape if needed.

  • If you are taking blood-thinning tablets or antibiotics, you must wait at least a week after finishing the course, as the antibiotics will try to rid the body of the pigment, and the tattoo will not stay as pigmented, meaning the colour will look faded.

  • You cannot have a cosmetic tattoo while taking Accutane - this medication thins the skin and makes it much more sensitive, which would affect the healing process, and your skin would be more likely to scar.

  • You cannot have this treatment if you are pregnant.
